Nontsikelelo Mutiti is a Zimbabwean-born artist who in her practice weaves between roles as artist, designer, teacher and student; her work engages the ways in which the practice and visual form of African hair-braiding act as markers of diaspora that sustain, economically and culturally, vibrant communities of African Immigrants.

Nontsikelelo Mutiti es un artista nacida en Zimbabwe. En la practica, Mutiti trabaja como artista, diseñadora, profesora y estudiante; su obra involucra la práctica y la forma visual del acto africano de trenzar el pelo como una muestra de la diáspora, que conservan las vibrantes comunidades de inmigrantes africanos tanto económica y como culturalmente.
