Petia Cervera Krupova (Marla Jacarilla and José Begega) is a young postconceptual Bulgarian artist who works with themes such as memory, subjectivity and archive. Influenced by artists such as Alexandr Sokurov, Otolith Group, Ignaci Aballí, Iñaki Bonillas or Harum Farocki, it imitates patterns that are often repeated in Barcelona’s emerging art, it is a mixture of everything that is seen with good eyes by juries and curators and adapts to the predominant currents of the context. The introduction of a false identity based solely on the imitation of predominant patterns has generated and unveiled certain mechanisms by the discomfort and mismatch that involves introducing a spy, a secret, an illegality, a hole in the structure itself. After this process of creating a fictitious identity there is an intention to transgress the rules to analyze the positioning of the different agents related to the context, both before and after knowing the different strata of the project.
By introducing this fictitious artist in an institution such as the Sala d'Art Jove (Barcelona) in 2012, its authors create a device that serves to reflect on the norms and languages that build the emerging art context of Barcelona: its similarities and differences with respect to other contexts, patterns and influences that are repeated, etc. It was part of the "Xarxa Zande" project in 2016, curated by Oriol Fontdevilla. In this occasion the authors would question the infrastructures of Arts Santa Mònica center, highlighting its crisis and giving anonymous voice to its workers and the artistic community that surrounds it.

Petia Cervera Krupova (Marla Jacarilla y José Begega) es una joven artista búlgara postconceptual que trabaja con temas como memoria, subjetividad y archivo. Influenciada por artistas como Alexandr Sokurov, Otolith Group, Ignaci Aballí, Iñaki Bonillas o Harum Farocki, imita patrones que a menudo se repiten en el arte emergente barcelonés, es una mezcla de todo aquello que es visto con buenos ojos por jurados y comisarios, se adapta a las corrientes predominantes del contexto. La introducción de una identidad falsa basada únicamente en la imitación de patrones predominantes ha generado y desvelado ciertos mecanismos por la incomodidad y el desajuste que supone introducir un topo, un secreto, una ilegalidad, un agujero en la propia estructura. Tras este proceso de creación de una identidad ficticia hay una intención de transgredir las normas para analizar el posicionamiento de los distintos agentes relacionados con el contexto, tanto antes como después de conocer los distintos estratos del proyecto.
Mediante la introducción de esta artista ficticia en una institución como es la Sala d'Art Jove (Barcelona) en 2012, sus autores crean un dispositivo que sirve para reflexionar sobre las normas y lenguajes que construyen el contexto de arte emergente barcelonés: sus similitudes y diferencias respecto a otros contextos, los patrones e influencias que se repiten etc. En 2016 forma parte del proyecto "Xarxa Zande", comisariado por Oriol Fontdevilla, con el cual pondrá en cuestión las infraestructuras del centro de arte Arts SantaMònica, poniendo de manifiesto su crisis y dando voz anónima a sus trabajadores y a la comunidad artística que lo rodea.
